WHO WE ARE
Sunrise Chicago is a local chapter of the Sunrise Movement, a movement of young people (under 35) fighting to stop the climate crisis and win a Green New Deal.
Since our founding in January 2019, we have grown into a diverse community full of passionate members. We strive to build a cross-class, multiracial movement that will end the reign of fossil fuel elites, invest in Black, brown and working class communities, and create millions of good union jobs.

CAMPAIGN TEAM
The Campaign Team is running Sunrise Chicago’s Green New Deal for Communities campaign which aims to win policies that tangibly improve people’s lives in our city, base-build in working class, Black, and Latine communities, and develop new leaders.
MAINTENANCE TEAM
The Maintenance Team is responsible for overseeing the hub’s internal/external communications (social media, calendar, newsletter, etc.), onboarding new members, supporting existing members, building community, and managing our finances.
